2005 Oz Titles
The Golden Breed Australian Longboard Titles for
2005 was contested in varied and sometimes difficult conditions at Cotton Tree and Coolum on Queensland's Sunshine Coast -
with over 1000 photos taken by Adam
Albertini over the duration of the contest.
The event was staged over the first week in October, 2005 and provided
a brilliant display of surfing ability - ranging from the extremely
talented under 18s to the extremely experienced over 60s - and everything
in between. While wave conditions could have been better, the sunshine was
exactly what the coast is named for and there were moments when some
extremely contestable waves were ridden. This annual event was presented by
Surfing Australia and
hosted by Surfing Queensland.
Surfers representing Queensland; New South
Wales; Victoria; South Australia; Western Australia; and Tasmania provided
the spectators with some sensational longboard riding, even though the
conditions were less than perfect on some occasions (- ie howling onshore
ankle-snappers). But that's how it goes!
Spread through the pages of this CD-R you will find information relating to most aspects of the contest,
